What Is Microdermabrasion?  

Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive procedure to renew your skin’s overall tone and texture. The outermost layers of the skin are buffed away using a diamond crystal tip and powerful suction, leaving the underlying skin glowing and free from dulling debris. 

Because this treatment is superficial, it is not painful and requires no downtime. Although one treatment will provide some noticeable effects, a series of treatments is recommended to realize the therapy’s full potential. 

What Conditions Can Microdermabrasion Treat?  

Microdermabrasion is useful for treating:  

• Early signs of aging 
• Superficial scars 
• Enlarged pores 
• Fine lines and wrinkles 
• Early photoaging 

Because it is a superficial treatment, microdermabrasion will not address deeper lines and scars or pigment in the deeper layers of the skin (such as deep photoaging and melasma). For those concerns, a Forever Young® BBL photofacial or laser skin resurfacing may be a more effective choice.
