PRP Hair Restoration

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is derived from your own blood. PRP contains growth factors and proteins that help stimulate hair growth by increasing blood supply to the hair follicles—promoting cell growth and division and prolonging the growth phase of the hair cycle.

What Is a PRP Hair Restoration Treatment Like?

The procedure typically involves these steps:

  • Blood Draw: One of our highly trained providers will draw a small amount of blood from your arm and place it in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the other components of the blood.
  • Injection: Using a very fine needle, PRP will be injected into the areas of your scalp experiencing hair loss or thinning.
  • Post-Procedure Care: After the procedure, your provider will give you instructions on how to care for your scalp to ensure the best possible results.

PRP hair restoration typically takes an hour or less to complete, although treatment time may vary depending on the extent of the hair loss and the number of areas being treated. Some patients may require more than one treatment for optimal results.

What Is PRP Recovery Like?

After the procedure, you may experience mild pain, discomfort, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites. This is normal and should resolve within a few days. No downtime is required following treatment.

What Results Should I Expect?

PRP Hair Restoration promotes hair growth and helps restore hair density in areas experiencing thinning or hair loss. Results of PRP hair restoration can include:

  • Increased hair density
  • Thicker hair
  • Improved hair growth
  • Improved overall scalp health
  • Reduction in hair loss

The timeline for results from PRP hair restoration can vary depending on the extent of the hair loss and the individual patient. However, most patients typically experience:

  • Improvement in hair density and thickness within 2 to 3 months after the procedure
  • Continued improvements in hair density and thickness over the next 6 to 12 months

To maintain the results of PRP Hair Restoration, patients may need periodic touch-up treatments every 12 to 18 months.

Exosome Therapy

Exosomes are small vesicles that are naturally produced by cells in the body, including hair follicle cells. These vesicles contain various signaling molecules, such as growth factors, cytokines, and nucleic acids, which can regulate cell behavior and promote tissue regeneration.

Exosomes can help with hair loss by delivering these beneficial molecules directly to the hair follicle cells, stimulating hair growth and improving the scalp’s health. Exosomes also have anti-inflammatory and immune-modulatory effects, which can reduce scalp inflammation and prevent further hair loss.

What Is Exosome Therapy Like?

Exosomes are isolated from lab-grown mesenchymal stem cells and injected into the scalp through microneedling. The procedure is minimally invasive, with most patients experiencing minimal discomfort and no downtime.

What Is Exosome Therapy Recovery Like?

Similar to PRP, you may experience discomfort, swelling, or bruising at the treatment sites, lasting up to a few days. You shouldn’t require any downtime after your treatment.

What Results Can I Expect?

Results from exosome treatments for hair loss can vary, but many patients report seeing improvements in hair growth and scalp health within 3 to 5 weeks of treatment. You may need more than one treatment to achieve optimal results, depending on the severity of your hair loss and other factors.
