Neck Lift Before & After Case 272

"I don't like my neck". It is something we hear all the time here at Beth Collins, MD. The lower face and neck are a cosmetic subunit and correction of neck sagging often involves correction of the lower face. As a result, the "turkey neck" is fixed along with the jowls, deepened nasolabial folds and marionette lines and well as the sagging in the cheek and mid face. 

This lovely patient had a lower facelift and neck lift done without any correction to her peri-orbital area (eyelids). The correction in her jawline and chin is what she was aiming for. Luckily, she had not had any other "minimally invasive" interventions, so she was in an optimal situation to have a great result on her neck. (Beware of med spas that offer energy devices to tighten neck skin, or threads that lift the excess skin/tissue....these things cause scarring and either don't work very long or don't work at all....please make sure you have ALL of the information before you embark on these types of treatments.) Now as fall approaches, we will start working on correcting some of the sun damage in her skin and she will continue to enjoy a youthful and beautiful look as she gently ages.
